For your material I would recommend plywood. It is easier to work with than plastic or metal. For the top I would reccomend counter top formica or laminate. It is very easy to apply and relatively cheap. It can be cleaned very easily, it can be drilled with little problems etc. Some have used contact paper for a "formica" type finish but real counter top material looks a million times better. But quite possibly the greatest thing about it... you can set your beer on the control pannel and not worry about messing anything up :)... You do need a router to trim the edges though. Email me for more info or pictures...

: Hi,

: I just got an ultra cool 30" 16 X 9 Neo Geo cab (I think it has been only released in Europe). Yesterday afriend and I dismanteled it all, reput it up and reinforced everything. The cab is now hard as a rock and much more beautifull (at least clean). The only thing I really have to replace is the control panel and here we are... it is made of a huge (80cm large) flat board, I think it is plywood. Anyway it is the only part of the part that actually has scatches but it has many so I think about two solutions.
: 1) Replacing it with a new one. Simple...
: 2) putting a kind of overlay on it, maybe glass or aluminium...

: I would rather go for the second one, but to have holes made in it (I need at least 13 of them) is very expensive.

: I am now looking for advices or stories you experienced maybe...

: TIA
