Well, I reduced the size of the static/sparkles by setting the default screen size to 800x600. Still can't get rid of 'em though, tried all new drivers, various combinations of triple buffer, MMX, sound settings, etc.

It's really only on Defender, Stargate, and Robotron. I guess I can live with it, it's only a band about an inch tall. :(

: For those of you with this combo (seems to be popular) -- I'm getting some odd "sparkles" on the older Williams games (Defender is most noticeable, but Robotron, etc. also have this). These games have almost an interference band that slowly moves up the screen and loops. This has been there from the start (about two months), but it's starting to bug me now.

: Anybody else seen this, and is there anything I can do about it? This is with Mame32 (actually, StretchMame32), Rage Fury Pro, Philips 27" TV using svideo. Every other game, Windows, applications, etc. seem to be fine.
