HOT ROD?? Work with Raine? Callus? what wont it work with? ADVICE PLEASE

hi,
looking to buy a hot rod, x-arcade or stick it control panel......i read on stick its site that HOT ROD doesn't work with all emualtors??? is this true? whcih of the pre made units will work with the most emulators? I really want it to work with RAINE, MAME, CALLUS, CONSOLE emus, etc.....PC games..everything...just need to be sure...if not WHAT ONE SHOULD I BUY?? AND WHERE???
