: I have the Viper V330 and have no problems getting any EMU's to display. They do however need to be set to use VESA 2.0 and 640x480 resolution or the program wont start. For those reading that dont know, the TV out on the V330 ( and the V550, I'm assuming) work like this.... If you turn on the machine with a computer monitor plugged in, you automatically get all of your display resolutions. If you turn on your machine with a tv plugged in, you automatically have only one resolution choice, 640x480. You can not run both displays simultaneously, and you can not 'hot-swap' displays. So what this means is you can not run mame unless you specify the 640x480 resolution. (when you're hooked up to a TV). Otherwise it will give you an error that says your resolution (320x200, 800x600, etc.) is not available and exit on out. Of course, I am referring to using DOS mame. Hope this helps you out...

Thanks man for the info. The viper 550 is a little different. The TV out will not come on without
selecting it on the display properties. This is a royal pain in the ass as you need
a monitor hooked up to boot. I have been in contact with Diamond to fix this but to
no avail. I figured out a work around (any 550 users want my solution post here)
using a macro program. You can however center the image, again in the display properties.
I will definately try out your suggestions on the vesa 2.0 config.

Thanks,

Jim
