Don't use the 'lamp module', the circuitry to dim the lamps may be damaged if you pull to many amps causing the whole thing to fail. Instead use the receiver/appliance module. It simply uses a relay and can handle much higher loads like monitors just fine.

: I have the stuff they are selling for $6 but always thought it was for "lamps" and other small appliances. Isn't the other (not sure what it is called) "high amp switch" what you need for something like a monitor? It seems to me that I tried to hook up something big to my switch and it wouldn't work. Have you experienced anything like this? I may be wrong - it's been a long time since I have messed with the switches.

: OH, BTW - you gotta get one of their wireless video entertainment packs. I got one a month ago and that is the best $45 I have ever spent. I have a DSS dish hooked to a Tivo in my computer room and use the wireless stuff to send the signal to the big tv in my living room. The picture and sound are perfect and $45 doesn't come close to the cost of a second Tivo and DSS.
