It may turn out that the new MAME will work perfect with the ACT Labs guns!
I am sure Aaron could implement them perfectly if someone would lend him a set.
In this case I would agree that their one gun for under $75 deal is the way to go, and I'm sure with MAME you would only need one gun.
Other than that I have been on this subject for a LONG time!
What I would like to see is a system that would let you plug in your playstation,dreamcast,nintendo,sega,or ATARI lightgun into a single unit.
It would have to use multiple adapters or be a make your own connection type of system.
I know what the circuit needs to do and know the basic components needed. It was hastily explained to me by an electronics and computer GURU.
I also know where to get some pre-fab components to complete such a project.
So, If anyone REALLY wants to see a cheap lightgun solution and you have any good electronic or programing knowledge.

BTW: I was always under the assumption that light gun/pens were easily attached to a PC!
This was true at one time, I was told many EGA,CGA Video cards came with a jack for a lightpen.
Actually, My V3 3k AGP has connections for the needed outputs! (I'm now invisioning a V3 daughter board for lightgun support.)
Think any of this is worthy of conversation?
