Also the 8 way joysticks only use 4 inputs (total 16 + 18 buttons.) Only 34 inputs MK40 probably perfect for your setup. All for less than $65. THis would be much easier than trying to get 34 inputs from a keyboard hack.

: Hello I am really just starting the planning stages of my cab, but i have a few questions that I don't think I will get answers to unless I go ahead and post 'em.

: First I have decided to go with a keyboard hack, I got a hold of a couple of freebies and popped one open. At first I was elated, the pcb under those old IBM keys had huge 1/4 squares to solder to. I figured Id go from these massive pads to a terminal strip and junction off to the micro switches from there. When i mentioned this to the Tech service guys they said "you cant solder to a pcb solder wont stick". I know I read something about scoring the pads first then the solder should stick. They they said "even if you could solder to the pads connecting the two resulting wires would not complete the circut to emitt whatever letter you think you pressed". Another surgen said that the resistance would be wrong or the capasatence. I could use some help here. are they full of it? I believe they may be more confused than I am.

: Secondly and of a lot less importance, I found,

: Just before I decided to even include a trackball. Now I wanna know if any one has any idea how to hook up 2, I know there are very few (only one comes to mind, marble madness) that would merrit such an undertaking. Should I let it go that one is better than none and greedy people burn or what?

: Thanks in advance for help.
