I don't know about buying these emu's for the dc...the only one that I know of is the Sega Smash Pack which is basically a Genesis emulator...the other emu's do work but I don't think they support the lightgun...I never thought to try it so I will later.

Sega has reported that they plan on releasing House of the Dead 2 (or maybe it was 3) for the PC as well as the Dreamcast...along with a new USB lightgun for the PC...also have plans for a USB fishing rod for Sega Marine/Bass Fishing for the PC....I think these products are going to be the one's the Mame team can add support for in the lightgun games in mame...especially with all the news about MAME for windows being the new development platform...just my guess anyways.

I just picked up the Nerf Foam Blaster lightgun for the PC...it's pretty cool and works with ease...haven't found a way to utilize it with any other games (like House of the Dead for the PC for example) as it seems to use some kind of proprietary driver within the Nerf game which is very kid friendly and has no zombies!

: I was just thinking... Currently there are discs specifically made that you can buy for your Dreamcast that contain console emulators (SNES, NES, maybe others). You then pop in a disc after its loaded into memory that contains the roms on it. The games use the Dreamcast controllers. (This is the jist of how it works. If I'm off a little then this really isn't the point.) Considering that the DC has a gun that works on it, if the emulator supported it then a gun could be used on the games. I'm sure you are seeing where I'm going. If someone were to create a version of Mame or other arcade emulator that would run on the DC, perhaps this would be a way to play arcade gun games using a DC light gun! What do you all think?

: Similar things may exist for psx and ps2 as well...
