how to open Happ udget illuminated pushbuttons?

The picture posted here has no relevance. I am talking about a rectangular Happ budget illuminated pushbutton. The plunger slides out the top of the bezel, but the clear lens cap is still firmly attatched to the plunger. The lens apparently snaps onto the plunger, but there is no space to pry it off, as the bottom edge of the lens cap attatches to the top the plunger.
