Depending what is broken, fixing a pinball machine can be relativly easy. Most often a solenoid will be proken or some bunt out lights. These are easily replaced by unsoldering the old part and soldering a new one in. Lights can be unplugged from their sockets. If nothing happens when the machine is turned on, check the AC wiring for bad connections using a mulimeter. If however the PCB is broken, there isn't much you can do.

Be careful when fiddling around with the insides, even when it is unplugged. There may be several large capacitors usually mounted somewhere near the PCB. This is the case for my Cyclone.
