UltraController Project

Hi, I'm currently working on building an "UltraController" box, which, for the sake of making emulation a step closer to reality, will allow me to connect several different game console controllers into one box, which will then output to the keyboard port. All the controls will hook into the proper place on a hacked keyboard board. I want to do it like this so that the box will be universal and hardware only; no software will be needed because it's just turning the signals into keystrokes. I also want to construct it in a way that any controller can be plugged in, unmodified. I already know where I can get input ports for each system (mainly from disasembling multi-port accessories for each system), so that is not a problem. The problem lies in decoding the serial signals from the control pads. What I need to do is be able to decode those signals and output each button seperately through a wire, which than will be soldered to the keyboard. So basicly, all I need are circuit diagrams or any relevant information for the following
systems: SNES, NES, Genesis, Atari 2600...those are my main concerns. And I would love to do the maximum number of inputs for each system, capped at 4 per system...so that'd be 4 NES, 4 SNES, etc. I'd also like to add others, but mostly that's what I'd If anyone has any information at all that might help this project, please let me know. My email address is elbart0@NOSPAM.home.com ...don't forget to remove the NOSPAM. Thank you for your time.
