There is a program Sortinfo that pulls data from mame and you can load it into a spreadsheet and sort by control devices. It might be helpful. I can’t find the link though. Sorry.

: Where can I get information on control panel layouts for all the arcade games (or as many as I can find)? Pictures would be ideal.

: I'm trying to find a common denominator of all the control panel layouts: Example. One group of games would work with two joysticks and a certain number of buttons (NeoGeo), while another group would just need one joystick and a button or two (old classics: pacman, mspac, donkey kong, etc).

: If I were to ever pursue a custom project (and spend a lot of money) I want to investigate a modular control panel design, but I am still researching the least number of control panel "modules" that I would need to create.
