Looks great! I would go with the buttons on the right side. If you got a couple lying around, put em on both sides, then everyones happy : ) Also, here is a pic of missle command 2 http://www.best.com/~dluck/cax/missilecommand2.jpg
I would also imagine that golden tee or other golf games use more than 3 buttons.
