The Live works fine in DOS. It is just more difficult to set up because lets face it, DOS is not a viable commercial OS anymore.

I recommend the Live as a good card that works in DOS *AND* is superior for current windows based games, something no ISA card can claim.


: ...might not even work in DOS. I'm referring to the Sound Blaster Live. Isn't it pathetic that an expensive sound card doesn't even work in dos right? I did fix it however by finding the needed driver that isn't automatically installed unless you find it manually.

: If you have an available ISA slot then get an ISA card, but if not get a plain SB16 PCI card. It doesn't have to be the Creative brand. You can get cheapo SB16 compatible cards for under $10. Don't use Sound Blaster Live.
