I'll second that. After using some of the older type cards' TV-out (Matrox Rainbow runner, and the crap on my Laptop) and then hooking up to video from my ATI Rage Fury, my jaw dropped. I didn't think it was possible to get such a clean NTSC picture out of a PC video card.

My problem, however, is finding a 25" TV with S-Video out that will fit in a cabinet that was designed for a 19" monitor. I've got 24.5" and it looks like a Samsung 25 will just squeak in there. Of course, I can't find a retailer that carries that model and I'm not paying $70+ for delivery.

Anyone know of a "brick and mortar" store that carries the Samsung?

: Most of the review sites, like Tom's Hardware and AnandTech, have reviewed the TV-out feature of various video cards. ATI is always at the top of the list. I myself use an ATI All-in-Wonder 128, and TV Out is top-quality in both Windows and DOS. I prefer gaming on my 20" monitor, but the kids prefer sitting in front of the TV to play. Looks good. Plus, I use it all the time for DVD playback, and it's perfect there too. All in all, if you want TV-out, ATI is the way to go. The nVidia based cards with TV-out are routinely reviewed as being less attractive.
