: Is it possible to use a PC monitor instead of an arcade monitor with a PCB. I have a Triva Whiz board and I don't want to spend the extra money for a monitor when I have a PC monitor lying around. Thanks for any help.

Yes, it's possible, but not cheap. There's a scan converter sold mostly in Japan called the XRGB2 that will do the trick. It's hard to find outside of Japan and will cost you about two and a half bills. A better option would be to find a cheap Commodore Amiga 1084 monitor from eBay or somewhere. They can be had for around $50 and work very nicely for arcade boards. (Some of the first ones had seperate horizontal and vertical sync inputs, which complicates things, but most have a composite sync input and work fine).
