stupid question - what is smartdrv and how do I use it ???

I'm running in Dos - boot up with bootgui=0 win95

what exactly is smartdrv and what is the correct way to put it in autoexec.bat and config.sys ???

will this make screen shots load faster when browsing the menu in ArcadeOS ?
