I'm also probably got a little overkill, but I also wanted to be able to play modern PC games too on my cabinet so I built a ABIT KT7 Mobo with AMD Duron 700 Overclocked to 1Gig with a ATI Rage Fury Pro 32MB vid card and 128meg of PC150 Ram. I just played Ultimate Mortal Combat last night perfectly....well I mean the game ran perfectly, I didn't play perfectly. :) This system runs all the latest games on MAME perfectly and makes mr. Pacman go REALLY FAST!! No not really, Pacman runs normal speed. Man I'm quite the jokester today. Sorry. Anyway, hope I answered your question in there somewhere.
