: : I hope you have a good backup. If you need anything let me know.

: Sorry to hear that Andy. I too had a Major HD crash about 2 yrs ago. Thousands of hours of rare downloads (and original drawings) on a 56k modem lost forever :(

: A tip for all data collectors ;) If you can, run 3 hard drives. One small one for you Operating system - because you will probably have to format and reload it. 1 for major storage... and 1 as a Mirror copy of the major storage.

: I actually lost data on a 2nd hd problem... and even though I Intended to back stuff on on my burner... it was too late. Also, burning so much information takes both time and $ for each disk (or coffee coaster! :) It was a pain to organize all the info and led to me not backing up as frequently :(

: Heck - even if you dont have slots on your board for another drive... you can disconnect your cd rom... hook up the backup drive... duplicate the info, disconnect it and place the drive in a static bag untill next backup. Re-hook up your cd.

: A great board to have is the BE6II (new revision). They support 2 ultra 100 units = 4 drives, and standard IDE ports for 4 more devices = 8 devices total! :)

: Good Luck
