: Hey everyone,

: I was wondering if there is a way to have Win98SE default boot into DOS7... is there some kind of boot loader I can use like Windows 2000's? Can I download something like that?

: Also... would this Win98 DOS7 be much of a performance hit to ArcadeOS and MAME. I have a 1.2 Ghz Tbird and 128 megs of ram..

: I want win98(dos7) so I can have fat32 partitions..

: get back to me!

It is actually MUCH easier than you think. Find the file msdos.sys in the root directory of your C drive (it is a hidden file). Use notepad to open it. In it you will see a line:
BootGUI=1
change the 1 to a 0 and then save the file. Now whenever you boot you will be left at the dos prompt. If you wish to run windows just type win (and press enter).
