I had a problem with my trackball 'wedging' like that after placing the plate on even without putting the bolts or nuts on!
I found if you scrape away the paint on the plate(I got black crinkle) from the inside of the hole where the trackball fits, then it spins smoothly.
: Thanks for the quick reply. I thought I might be turning the nuts too tight though I am only using my hand. I guess I'll have to get some lock washers to keep them from falling off. Thanks again. I was just worried it was my trackball. This was my first arcade one.
