I had the exact same idea a few years ago - but found that it does not work very well.
What generally happens is that when the second keyboard is comunicating with the PC the first cannot, any keys that were pressed on the first keyboard before the second one interupted it remain pressed until pressed again.
This gets extreamly annoying when playing 2 player games, you neet to tap left once to start moving and left again to stop.
It's still a nice idea, 32 discreete inputs for the price of some old gammy keyboards.
