I went through all the trouble of building Derrick Renaud's circuit with the ATMEL AT90S1200A microcontroller, so they had better give the option of disabling this function :)

Hopefully it will be selectible via a command switch, or better yet, an option selectibe for each game, residing in each game's CFG file. That way, that preference can be set for each game.

: I figured out the code for this change because someone requested it. I had not actually seriously played any games with this change until last night.

: In my opinion, Pac-man does not play very well with the new "sticky" mode. I definitely think they should have left things as-is and added a command-line switch for this mode.

: Or, the drivers for particular games should specify which mode is the default. For instance, Pac-man could continue to use "fast sticky" while the Qix driver could be modified to use "sticky" as the default mode.

: They shouldn't have blindy changed modes like this without offering a selection mechanism.
