: Does anyone know if the Happ driving pedals will interface with Mame? or Opti-Pac? Will it recognize the different speeds are just all on or all off? Thanks...

Opti-Pac is only for rotary controls like spinners and trackballs.

Regarding the Happ driving pedals, I haven't tested them myself. If I remember correctly, they are either switch or potentiometer based.

The switch ones are designed to hook to a keyboard encoder (I-PAC). They are either full on or off.

The potentiometers are meant to hook to the joystick port. See the post by me above about T2 guns for links to wiring. These can be hooked to an I-PAC but you would only get the full-on or full-off and nothing in between.

BTW, I did some testing with an ohmmeter on some PC racing pedals that I bought and found similar results using the pots or a switch. (I.E. the pots stayed fairly level and then very quickly dropped to zero resistance.

Also, some arcade games used switch pedals and some used pot pedals and this makes a difference in how the MAME driver handles things (Sometimes).

Clear as mud? Post a followup if you didn't understand
