Every single arcade game I have ever plyed has the stick on the left, buttons on the right. The only exception was gauntlet, and even then by the time they released gauntlet II atari was conforming to the "standard".
Funny really, I mean there is no earthly reason that the buttons should be on the left, I guess the guy who designed the interface for "space invaders" (the first game that needed stick + button?) was a lefty and the rest of the world just followed along.
How cool would that be? to know that the rest of the world followed along with YOUR decision.
