I have thought about diagonals, and they irratate me. First of all, I have never used an actual set of twin sticks, so I can't answer any questions about how they work in diagonal directions. Everything I know about how original twin sticks work is from reading web sites.

My plans for diagonals:
Ignore them! I am going to use Happ 4-way joysticks. This way, no diagonal signals ever get sent. I'm not sure what would happen to my circuit if a diagonal did get sent. I may investigate this later.

My plan on building twin sticks was to get it close enough. I know they aren't going to be perfect, but you know what? It's better than playing with the dreamcast controller.
