I managed to dredge up a 3P3T rotary switch in my junk drawer. So I soldered the ground together permanently, and put the +5, clock and data thru the switch.
So it is now a 3 position switch that does (keyboard_hack)--(off)--(full_keyboard)
I think this will work rather well in my cab. :)
