The KE18 has 18 discrete inputs and CAN go up to a 9 x 9 matrix which is 81 inputs.
If you use it just as 18 discrete inputs, you would have 1 common ground and 18 seperate inputs.
You would connect one side of the button to ground and the other to one of the inputs. Do this for each button -- again, all buttons will use the one common ground.
Hope this helps.
: Simple Question..
: The Hagstom ke18 is non-programable..
: It has 18 direct inputs / or 9X9 matrix
: If I were using direct input what "Keyboard" character
: would I get when I ground pin 1, 2 , 3 ect...
: Or are they pre assigned?
: Thanks
