Do yourself a favor and spring for the lexan. Otherwise, unless you have the special tools for Plexiglass AND you are VERY careful, you will crack it during drilling. I was able to pick up a sheet of Lexan at my Home Depot for abour $10, and it was enough for 2 of my control panels (granted, my CP is not that big). I've worked with Plexi in the past, and it's too easy to crack...

: Hi,

: I have checked at my local store for Lexan...

: I was surprise of the price $$$$ to pay for
: a piece of Lexan to cover my CP!

: So may be I will work with cheaper material like plexiglass...

: I read a bit about how to work with plexiglass.

: It's ok for drilling in reverse holes of 1/4 inch by melting the plexiglass, but how do you drill the holes for the trackball, joystick and for the buttons?

: Does a flat 1 1/4 inch and 1 1/8 inch drill tip will
: be fine to drill the holes into the plexiglass for the joystick and for the buttons?

: thanks
: Reg
