Those screens are presented for a variety of reasons (legal/ethical). I doubt they will never go away.

A@H followed MAME's license agreement to the letter by not touching the source code. Whether or not the SPIRIT of the license agreement was upheld can always be debated.

: A@H built a 36B6.1 for cabinets where you could edit the MAME.CFG file and add a guihost=yes to make it bypass the various information screens.

: I love this feature and was hoping it would be available with the newer versions, but it doesn't appear that way.

: Anyone compile a version that does this? Anyone have the source code that does this where I can compile it myself?
