Can't Get MAME32 to recognize my USB controller...Help!

Hi, I am using one of those Playstation to PC USB adapters and I'm trying to get a Neogeo/Mame32 cabinet built and I am down to the controls now. The controller works fine in Neoragex, but it doesn't seem to be acknowledged by Mame32. Any ideas?
