Recently, I came up with the idea to build an arcade cabinet that played all of the MAME emulated games. For the past month, I've been rolling all of these ideas around in my head: "How do I map an arcade-style joystick to keyboard buttons?" "What's the best monitor to use?" "How can I map the act of inserting a quarter into the machine to the 5-key?" "Where the heck am I going to get all of these parts?" etc, etc, etc.
Then I found this site...
I had no idea that so many other people had the same idea I had. I am thrilled that I found this page!
If anybody has any pointers for those of us that have never attempted anything like this before (problems that everyboys has, things to watch out for, etc...) please pass them on to me. Thanks!
