Getting vertical games to run horizontally on arcade monitor & ArcadeOS

I have a standard/low res arcade monitor and ArcadeOS (The link above for the forum is broken) and every vertical game I have tried (using Mame 37b13) gets the top and bottom cut off. I have run all the resolutions listed and they all do it, the auto setting doesn't run the game at all. I have it set to run -H horizontal, and if I run it vertically it displays fine, but my monitor is mounted in a cabinet and doesn't rotate. I have tried the older (I have heard more stable) v2.35 and that does the same thing. Any ideas? Thanks for taking the time to read this.
