I'm running a celeron 466. From the time I turn on the machine till AOS is up is about 20-30 seconds.

Not sure what the issue might be but I would expect better performance.

: Ok - I'm sure I'm just being quite stupid but...

: I've got a 333 PII that doesn't run fast enough for some of the games with Win Me - so I decided to try the dos front ends since it's a dedicated machine. ArcadeOS takes a long while to start up and then a long time to load roms... really silly considering that windows does those things in a heartbeat. So am I being completely clueless here, or is it possible that at least for load times (the games may run better, but it takes so long to get them going that I don't care at that point) windows is better?

: I'm really hoping I'm just being a maroon.

: P.S.
: I've got 128meg if that means anything.

: P.P.S.
: Anyone know a good place to get a jamma fingerboard?
