I would say that in the long term, a leaf switch would probably last longer, although they are MUCH higher maintenance. Actually, if you set them up and leave them alone, they are fine, but if they get bent at all (the leaf part of the switch), they are a pain to get set back again. Microswitches are reliable, but the part of the switch that connects with the pushbutton will wear down over time, until finally button pushes are sometimes not registered. However, replacement switches can be acquired for $1 or less in bulk, and around $2 at most electronics stores.

: Which is better and or the leaf switches that much better? They cost 3 times more..
