Hmm - I noticed something... The pixel size that is being output is larger than the gridlines. I think this was overlooked! If you compare the smallest pixel in the pc snap... you can see that its divided several more times by lines in the vga shot. This is how the pixels appear more blended. A few other things to note...
Most emulation of scanlines makes the screen too dark. Note that my turbo is not dark at all. The color should be stronger and brighter so that they will end up 'normal' after all the dark scanlines are added. Also, a slight haze effect may be usefull for smoothing out the precision of the pc's perfectness.
