ArcadeOS causing PC speaker beeps when loading and unloading Mame

It sounds as if a key is stuck, but I checked everything and at a DOS prompt there is nothing. But whenever I run a game from ArcadeOS I get PC speaker beeps until it loads the game. The game plays fine, no control errors. Then when I exit the game it beeps while it goes back into ArcadeOS then once again stops when I am back in ArcadeOS. Last night I had strange problems with it spontaneously running games, so I figured it was a stuck key. I unplugged the keyboard and the IPAC and it still did it. Today I don't have that problem anymore, I went through and checked every wire and it's not behaving erratically anymore, but I still get the beeps. Any ideas?
