: I am converting my E-machines pc into a mame machine for my cabinet. I reloaded the original software, updated it and remove all unnecessary programs. The pc has an on board audio and video card. I can find dos drivers for the video card but there are not any for my specific sound card (Crystal Soundfusion PCI Audio Accelerator cs4280). The question is are there generic dos drivers out there that might workA? Thanks for any help!!

This is what I found on the subject:

* SoundBlaster Compatibility allows you to play
sound with legacy DOS applications.
* The Crystal SoundFusion PCI audio device emulates
SoundBlaster compatibility when you run your
application within a DOS box under Windows.
* If you want to emulate SoundBlaster compatibility
when you restart your PC in DOS-mode, type
C:\Masters\Crystal\sbbat\SB.BAT to configure your
device with SoundBlaster compatible settings.

this is the page I found it on... Hope it helps.
