Someone hacked a PS1 non-analog controller, and it didn't work with some games, he later hacked a PS1 dual shock, leaving the analog parts alone, and it worked with all games.

: As I understand, the difference between PS1 and PS2 controllers is that the PS2 controllers have analog buttons. The PS2 knows how hard you are hitting the PS2 controller buttons. Both PS1 dual analog shock and PS1 digital controllers work with the PS2.

: I don't think that anyone on this board has figured out how to hack any of the Playstation analog controls, so I would stick with the PS1 digital pad. I have seen MadCatz controllers recommended on this board.

: I have an arcade-style PS1 controller called a Twinshock. I have used it on my PS1 and my PS2. The Twinshock doesn't have any analog controls. It's the equivalent of two hacked PS1 digital controllers.
