Kinda answering my own question here. After trying various vid cards sitting around the house here, I'm surprised at the VERY different results I've gotten. Found an old Cirrus card 5434. This worked really well and could display a ton of resolutions and had no trouble with horizontal timing like the ATI Rage Pro I had been using. Unfortunately it had problems with Vertical timing and I found that I had to adjust the Vertical hold a lot. So I guess it comes down to this question. Which card out there is best for mame and ArcadeOS? I saw on Brian Lewis' site that the Rage II is supposed to be the best. I have a Rage II and it gives me the same trouble as the Rage Pro. Was he talking about the Rage II+? Is there a difference? I hope I can figure this out because the games on the Cirrus, although flipping, looked really good.

Thanks again

: Trying to get ArcadeOS/MAME/Advancemame to run on my Jamma cabinet which has an Electrohome G07C80 monitor in it. I kinda followed the PC2Jamma path except I used an I-Pac instead of hacking a keyboard. My problem is that I can get ArcadeOS up and running at 320x200 and a bunch of games work with standard mame (Altered Beast/TMNT/Gradius) But a bunch don't (Mortal Kombat/Narc...) I realize that these are 16 bit games and need to run at 640x480, but I can't seem to get that to work. Also, when trying to use Advancemame and running the mv.exe utility, the first screen that comes up is not synced correctly, yet ArcadeOS comes up fine. Is there something wrong with my monitor? Or is it my video card? Or is it just a config problem. I have no interest in using a standard PC monitor in my cab, since the few games I've gotten to run look fantastic on this thing.

: Thanks
