How do I map my second spinner to player 2?

I have dos mame 37.13, aos 3.45 and the optipac+. I have my trackball and 2 spinners hooked up to serial port 1 on the optipac+. In windows the trackball or both spinners work fine.

In mame, the trackball works fine for centipede, but for driving games one spinner will control player one’s car, demolition derby, but the other spinner will not control player 2’s car.

I’m pretty sure this is possible, just need some help.
