: Hi Derrick,
Hi, Sorry been busy re-wiring the house. And with the yearly Drunk-Bowling yesterday. Started with 170 first game and ended the third with 80. So the beer was working.

: I have tried to reach you by E-mail and got "user unknown".
Just remove the _NOmoreSPAM

: Could you please provide information on which mode works best for games in MAME? I.E. do you mostly use "fast sticky" mode or "Sticky" mode, or does it vary from game to game!

I use the Sticky mode. I have not added fast sticky mode to my IC yet. No time. But I may not need to now, as it does seem to be the default behavour of MAME. I just described the mode for completness.

: I know one MAME DEV and would be willing to approach him about adding this capability in MAME, but if the MAME team and you agree that "Fast Sticky" works best, then it would not make much sense to bother them to implement "Sticky" mode, etc?

In my opinion, sticky works best. I had a friend play Ghouls'N Ghosts. First with the regular way and then I told him to throw the switch to sticky mode. He said game play was more natural that way as the man no longer kept pausing. He then proceeded to kill me. I suck at that game.

I would like to see it implemented directly in MAME. That way I would not have to remember to flip the switch back to 8-way. It would not be hard to implement. It just requires remembering the last direction key.

: Please respond!

Responded to. :-)
