I cannot believe it, but some manufacturer started making the link cables again... I found a few out on ebay, and just bought one right now!
WooHoo! Just search ebay for "Dreamcast Link"

: Sorry, but I have been on the lookout for these cables myself. I can't find any in the US, and in Japan, they are extremely scarce. I'm thinking about just making my own via 2 VGA adapter cables. Only the VGA adapter uses all the pins of the AV port. It should be faily simple, but there must be a cross over wire that I'm not sure about. You can read more about the DC serial port in the hardware section of this link.

: : : There are a couple games that allow (head to head) play via a link/battle cable. The cables are almost non-existant, but can be hacked together from vaious other DC cables (like the old dc->neogeo cable, or just a couple of vga adapter cables).

: : : 2 US games that I know have head-2-head play modes (but are hidden in the game) are VOOT and F355 Challenge. There are a couple more japanese games that also have h2h play.

: : That's exactly what i had in mind! My unfortunate use of the term "network" brought on all of this
: : broadband talk, but I do appreciate you fellas' inputs! Where can I find the almost-extinct link
: : cable? If I can't find one, where can I find instructions on building one? What Japanese games
: : support this feature? Send the info pronto! I can
: : hardly wait!

: : Thank you, thank all!
