Can 2 Dreamcasts be linked to create a network?

I have 2 Dreamcasts and would like to know if I can link both to creat a "network" so I can play Quake 3, Unreal Tournament,and the upcoming Outrigger "online"?
I know this subject is not covered by arcadecontrols.com, but with so many knowledgeable
gamers in here I'm sure someone can inform me how to
do it if it is at all possible.
