I ran into that when I first wired up my coin door. I already had credit buttons mapped on the control panel and added 2 new ones at unused points on the matrix. So, I had 3 & 4 each mapped at 2 locations & the lp24 started acting really strange. I put diodes inline with the coin door switches and it cured the problem.

: Nate,

: I could be wildly wrong, but it also sounds like you might have the same key mapped twice somewhere. Fire up the lp24cfg program, and make sure that Ctrl for example isn't in there twice. I would then also fire up MAME and make sure that there aren't any keys mapped twice in there either. If that doesn't work, let us know!
