: According to other messages posted here, you could also add buttons to the HotRod SE. Personally, I wouldn't do that because I like the controller as it is. I have seen a lot of panels that have everything but the kitchen sink thrown in -- I prefer less cluttered control panels.

These extra buttons are the predefined PAUSE(P), Setup(TAB) and ESCape, plus others. I had planned on adding these 3 to the back of the HotRod but Digikey has back ordered them long past when the cows are expected home.

So I think I might play with the other option some-one else(dcpmark) here mentioned. Press Player 1&2 will be pause. Press Coin 1 and Player 1 will be setup. Press Coin 1 and Player 2 will be ESCape. Or something along those lines. Only problem I can think of is the service mode in some games require you to press Player 1 & 2 to do certain things. But if I don't like it, it will tide me over until Digikey gets some small pushbuttons. I am only ordering the switches from Digikey because I order there semi-regularly. I think Happs has some better small switches, but 3x $.75 does not make a decent order.
