I have a Killer Instinct cabinet, and I am converting it to a Mame cab. I have the correct pin outs wired from the VGA output of the ATI Expert@Play98 card, going to the R,G,B, and the sync wires crossed to the single sync input on the Jamma harness. The KI cabinet came with a Wells Gardner U2000 standard (low) resolution monitor manual, and I am assuming that is what is in it. ArcadeOS runs fine, although I wish I could use a larger font then it's largest setting, as it is difficult to read on a low res monitor. Most horizontal games run fine (the monitor is mounted horz). Vertical games were not running correctly at all, it would display the top 80% of the game, then squeeze the remaining screen into a 1/2 blur of lines. For instance, on Donkey Kong the whole first tier with the barrel is un-viewable, it looks as though it is flipping it upside down and squashing it. Also on some wide horz games, it doesn't display them properly either. I messed around with the AOS game config, and manually set resolutions. This seemed to work, although the screen is not center and the top/bottom is cut off a bit. The auto resolution doesn't seem to work on my monitor, but I can manually specify resolutions, but I have to adjust the monitor controls to get all of it on the screen at once. If I set the game to be rotated on vert games, they look fine.

Does anyone have any suggestion on improving this? I'd like to get it so I don't have to keep adjusting the screen controls when I switch games. I also have to individual set resolutions on every game, I am hoping there is a default method to fix this. Would I be better off with a U3000 VGA model? I'd like to keep this monitor, but it has been very difficult to get it to work properly. Thanks for any input!!
