I have had the same trouble. ArcadeOS 3.35 seems to work for this. I have tried higher releases and had trouble re-mapping. You may want to try another release of arcadeos in a separate folder to see if you can get it to work. I know on my setup, sometimes I try something and all the re-mapping stops working, so I don't change things too often.
