Arcadeos troubles

With the 2.45 version of arcadeos I cannot seem to turn off the 1P + 2P start = esc function. Everytime I change it, as soon as I go back into the menu it is back on. changing the arcadeos.cfg doesn't help either, as it just gets changes back by the interface. Any ideas?
