Buy the grey colored "Blaze DC VGA adapter". All you need to do it cut the 31kHz wire where it connects to the board in the vga box. Then get a VGA cable and splice out the R/G/B/H/V to your monitor inputs. Simple, an no soldering required.
To find out which pin is 31Khz go to www.gamesx.com and lookup the sega AV pin outs. Use a multimeter to trace the 31kHz pin to the wire connecting to the vga box's pcb.

The reason why I say to use the Blaze DC VGA box is because it comes with volume control for the stereo out plugs. This is what you use to route your sound to your arcade cabinet's existing sound amp. All other VGA boxes don't have this and the sound is overly distorted. The Blaze adapter is on www.ebworld.com (or your local Electonics Boutique).

Happy gaming!

: I think this topic has been covered a bit, but does anyone know how to connect a Dreamcast to a arcade monitor without spending too much money?

: Thanks!!!
